Someone please tell me a good fic archive to send my 12 year old new-Harry Potter-freak brother to, he's actually reading and getting into something and I want to encourage it as much as possible.

We're participating in handing out forms for a 94.1 The Buzz contest at work, and in a week or two we'll be having Rock 103 there for a few hours XD. Fun.

Slayers TRY is over. An obsession that was stronger than any other anime obsession I ever had, save perhaps Gundam Wing slash....I saw the last episodes tonight, and felt like crying by the end. I don't really know how I managed to keep from doing it. It's always so painful when you finally see the last episodes of a show that you've loved for years, and whose characters hold a special, unbreakable place in your heart. Unless they make another season all I have left to look forward to is the latest movie. [wistful sigh]

Hellsing, on the other hand, is just starting. It rocks. The music kicks much ass.

My mouse's batteries are dying O_o. The cursor moves across the screen as if it were limping.

Um...yeah...think that's about it.

I used to be SUCH a Slayers fan. Xelloss was my god. ;) Try is the best of the series by far, but many fans don't like it because it's 'not funny' and 'too dark'. Which is exactly the reason I DID like it- it's the first time something like a mature viewpoint has entered the Slayers storyline, where you're not sure who's good and who's bad, and everyone has reasons of their own to justify their (sometimes horrible) actions.

I think Gourry's "Uh, Lina? Who're the bad guys here?" and Lina's reply "I.. don't really know." pretty much sum up Try. :)
